Blow Mold Technician - 2nd or 3rd shift

Our client has a direct hire need for a Blow Mold Technician - 2nd or 3rd shift job near Chardon, OH. You must have a minimum of three years manufacturing experience in this role, preferably in blow molding or injection molding operations. You will be responsible for the set-up of machines and molds from a spec sheet. This technician provides problem solving support to ensure that day-to-day cell and department goals are met. The hourly rate for this position begins at $15.00 per hour up to $17.00 per hour depending on experience.

The Blow Mold Technician job responsibilities include:

Responsible for set-up of presses - including removing mold from the press, installing new mold, dialing in the part to meet specifications, producing and inspecting first piece and authorizing production.
Responsible for troubleshooting presses that are not operating correctly.
Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting secondary molding equipment (blenders, material handling, routers, punches, etc.).
Responsible for cleaning filters on all presses.
Responsible for completing paperwork accurately and on-time.
Responsible for operating presses, assembling boxes and transporting product to other areas during breaks - down times.
Follow all 5S and lean activities, safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required
Three years manufacturing experience, preferably in blow molding
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to read and understand standard work instructions
Must have strong technical, mechanical, troubleshooting, organizational and housekeeping skills
Must have experience with mold changes
Able to operate a tow motor
Must be flexible to changing work conditions and working in different areas
Able to work independently
