SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Fairmount Santrol, located in Chardon, OH has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Lead FMSA software solution design activities
- Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to create effective, maintainable and reliable software solution designs
- Create critical software components, proof of concept deliverables and associated documentation to maximize team synergies in the development and evolution of identified software applications
- Plan, coordinate, and organize all activities related to custom developed business applications and interfaces throughout the organization
- Proposes organization level capabilities required to plan, build, and run a Technology Applications Development discipline.
- Provides leadership and guidance to staff through all facets of personnel management including the hiring, mentoring, counseling, training, evaluation, development plans and discipline of staff
- Advise, propose, and inform the advancement of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), development toolset, and enterprise application integration in support of corporate objectives
- Adhere to and evolve IT Risk Assurance and General Controls Program Guidelines.
Shared responsibility in the planning, design, implementation, management and support of Business Continuity and Recovery Services Program
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related computer field preferred.
- 10
years computer applications development using the Microsoft technology stack - 5
years developing enterprise-level web and/or integration applications - 2
year(s) in a technical lead and/or architect capacity Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office systems - Visual Studio, MS SQL,.
NET, C# fluency - In depth familiarity with REST API consumption, development, and security
- JSON design and implementation best practices
- Well versed in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices and development organization change
- A strong work ethic, poised and pro-active; highly reliable, self-starter
- Ability to demonstrate positive, emotionally intelligent leadership and management skills
- Project management experience preferred
