Fairmount Santrol, located in Chardon, OH has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer.


  • Lead FMSA software solution design activities
  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to create effective, maintainable and reliable software solution designs
  • Create critical software components, proof of concept deliverables and associated documentation to maximize team synergies in the development and evolution of identified software applications
  • Plan, coordinate, and organize all activities related to custom developed business applications and interfaces throughout the organization
  • Proposes organization level capabilities required to plan, build, and run a Technology Applications Development discipline.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff through all facets of personnel management including the hiring, mentoring, counseling, training, evaluation, development plans and discipline of staff
  • Advise, propose, and inform the advancement of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), development toolset, and enterprise application integration in support of corporate objectives
  • Adhere to and evolve IT Risk Assurance and General Controls Program Guidelines. Shared responsibility in the planning, design, implementation, management and support of Business Continuity and Recovery Services Program


  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related computer field preferred.
  • 10+ years computer applications development using the Microsoft technology stack
  • 5+ years developing enterprise-level web and/or integration applications
  • 2+ year(s) in a technical lead and/or architect capacity Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office systems
  • Visual Studio, MS SQL,.NET, C# fluency
  • In depth familiarity with REST API consumption, development, and security
  • JSON design and implementation best practices
  • Well versed in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices and development organization change
  • A strong work ethic, poised and pro-active; highly reliable, self-starter
  • Ability to demonstrate positive, emotionally intelligent leadership and management skills
  • Project management experience preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
