Memory Care Program Coordinator (Currents Program Coordinator)

Maplewood at Chardon is currenlty seeking a full time Memory Care Program Coordinator.
Memory Care Program Coordinator will assist the Program Director with providing a diversified program of individual and group activities for the residents in the Memory Care (Currents) Programs enabling each resident to engage in cultural, spiritual, physical, political, social and intellectual activities that are meaningful, purposeful, enjoyable, and satisfying.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform daily assessments of residents to determine programs according to individual plan of care
Promote activities in a way that piques residents'
Coordinate family functions and events
Plan weekly out trips based on resident preference and interests
Identify and place requisitions from supervisor for needed supplies for planned activities
Provide daily assistance during all meals
Provide monitoring and direction to residents in the neighborhood
Assist with calendar preparation and execution of events and programs
Experience in activity planning with seniors preferred
Thorough knowledge of dementia related issues
TRD certification, Associates degree, or additional training in related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years work related experience in an environment which focuses on dementia care, preferred
Demonstrated organizational skills and creativity
Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality
Driver Requirements: Driver license required with clean driving record. May be required to take driving test

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
